Kaden's Birthday Party

We had Kaden's Birthday party on sunday, he loved it. He keeps asking when his next birthday party will be. Since our fence was finally finished we had a BBQ in the back yard, im so glad the weather turned out nice.

Caramel Apple Cider

I've seen a few versions of this drink online and even have a different one in my recipe section I have yet to try, but i'm going to post the version I just made cuz it was yummy.

Ingredients:

1 Envelope apple cider mix
Jarred caramel sauce
Whipped Cream
*optional: Caramel flavored syrup

Prepare cider drink mix (I only had sugar free cider mix, i'm sure it would taste even better using the regular kind).
Add 1 tsp caramel sauce. (This made it sweeter, but didn't give it enough caramel flavor IMO, so I added a splash of the caramel syrup which made a big difference)
Top with whipped cream and drizzle more caramel sauce on top.

mmmm, yummy. I had made this a few days earlier using regular apple cider, and I much prefer the drink mix to the real thing.

I wonder what it would taste like if i added this. . .

Kaden's Room

Finished painting his room and glad to be done. Took me maybe 5 days, just doing it one part at a time. And we had Kaden sleeping in Kairi's room while it was being done, and i'm so glad to have them in separate rooms again. Getting them to fall asleep at night was terrible.

I like how it turned out. I was planning to spend more time on the details of the brick but got sick of painting, so it is what it is. And I kept the blue sky on the ceiling since Jared did such a good job on the clouds I didn't want to paint over it. It would have been too hard for me anyway.

Too Tired To Eat

Kairi was having one of those days where she didn't want to take her nap, but the lack of sleep finally got to her when it came time for dinner. It amazes me that she can just fall asleep like that. You would think she'd at least cry or make some kind of fuss, but I just walk out of the room for a couple minutes and come back in and she's asleep.
